As many of you may know, Tracy and I have been personally touched by addiction. Our experience has introduced us to many people who are trying to change our perceptions about addiction. Gary Mendell, the founder and CEO of Shatterproof, is one of those people, In support of SHATTERPROOF, we have accepted the challenge to rappel down 16 stories of 620 Newport Center Drive in Newport Beach, CA on Thursday, June 15 to increase funding and awareness for Shatterproof, a national nonprofit organization committed to protecting our loved ones from addiction to prescription and illicit drugs and alcohol and ending the stigma and suffering of those affected by this disease.
Shatterproof is changing the conversation about addiction. They are saving lives by helping pass laws that prevent more of our loved ones from becoming addicted to prescription opioids and supporting first responders who can rescue those who overdose. Your support helps expand their efforts to support prevention, treatment, rescue and recovery of addiction.
Please support my challenge by making a donation to Shatterproof today. Together, we are stronger than addiction. We Are Shatterproof!
P.S. Several members of our Emerald Bay Community are participating in the Shatterproof Challenge...please consider joining the team and rappelling down one of the Irvine Company Towers!
